I home make things because I like being home. I don't like to schlep myself and my kids to the store, so I do it as few times as I can get away with. Sometimes this means I make convenience foods from scratch. I have tried buns a few different times and they've always been dense and chewy. These buns are perfectly light and fluffy but have enough structure to hold your burger and fixin's. I adapted the recipe slightly from
Taste of Home. I used the same ingredients, but let the dough rise for about a half an hour, and then shaped and let them rise on the baking sheet for another half an hour...then baked. Delicious.

I love that you made your own hamburger buns rather than going to the store. You're amazing like that. I love hamburgers. I imagine yours are amazing.
