My first crepe was my savory one, which was really sweet and savory, my favorite, it was Chevre and fig jam. Seriously one of the best things I've ever eaten. I know goat cheese seems weird but the soury saltiness of it...mmm...I just love it. My sweet crepe was brown sugar and cream cheese with lime juice squeezed over it, kind of like key lime pie. I am drooling just thinking about it. I've been thinking about crepes ever since, I always do after I eat there. I wish there was a crepe place closer to me so I could go all the time.
I've been looking at crepe makers and pans and spreaders online and I finally decided to try it on my own. I made Alton Brown's crepe recipe and cooked them in my cast iron skillet. It was difficult.
Crepes are so happy, like a little food smile.
